I just want to thank you for this, it's amazing.
I'm having problems with certain fics though.. http://twilighted.net/viewstory.php?sid=8511 (Master of the Universe, don't judge) just refuses to do anything. Goes to http://fanfictionloader.appspot.com/fdown each time. Is it something with that specific story, or am I doing something wrong (It's the only twilighted.net one I've tried to load). So, if you're still around I'd love to know. |

Graffer is the only fic downloader that downloads from Twilighted as far as I know. http://serdel.co.nr/.
I am not one to judge you. You should see my hard drive! Last edited by IndecisiveMe; 10-23-2010 at 08:45 AM. |

This is wonderful! I wish it had been available back when I was reading a lot more fanfiction. Still, I've already started to use it and will continue to do so.

Hi I am a massive fanfic reader and I use http://storymaster.the-code-monkey.com it's so easy. Choose which fic site you want inc Twilighted put in story or author url, your email address and choose which mode you want the story to download in e.g Mobi for Kindle.
Storymaster then emails you the story I then use Calibre to transfer it to my Kindle. |

That saves a step right there by not having to enter your email address and someone else collect it for you. And there's one site http://archiveofourown.org/ that has fanfic you can download straight from the story page. You click "Download" and get the choice of the story in Mobi, Epub, PDF, and HTML. |

Bravo! This certainly beats compiling chapters into an open office doc and then having to do the odt to epub switch. Will be trying this tonight adn look forward to seeing the results. Good for you for servicing an un-represented portion of the e-reading population. |

I tried it and it works very well. I'm impressed.
The ebooks from Twilighted even have their author notes removed automatically, which I like. [just for the record, fanfics are for my wife (especially stuff from Twilighted) not myself. )] My only gripe is that it doesn't create an inline Table of Contents. I have a Kindle, and I need an inline Table of Contents (yes, I know Calibre can make one, but I prefer the TOC to be at the beginning rather than the end.) Can you set it up to create one? If you use Graffer to download from Twilighted and use its inbuilt AllinOne template to pull down the HTML it will give you an inline TOC, at least it does for me, reading as HTML on a Pocketbook 360. You could then use Calibre to convert it (or as many as you have with a batch convert) into EPUB or any other format you wanted.

I haven't tried any of the tools already mentioned, but figured I'd share what I have used.

By "inline Table of Contents," what I really meant was that I want a listed Table of Contents formatted together in a list on a page; preferably on the page between the title page and the first chapter (ie. and the front of the book, not the back) The AllinOne template on Gaffer does create a Table of Contents and at the front of the book, but it does so by creating a drop-down list box, which doesn't convert to mobi well (if at all). This makes the TOC is creates useless for me. Further, it only saves the file as html, while FanfictionLoader will download to various formats including ePub, which removes the need for conversion before editing in Sigil. Also, I like the FanfictionLoader formatting better than Gaffer's. It would appear that the only way to presently do what I want for Twilighted.net stories is to convert to mobi and force Calibre to create a TOC, convert to ePUB and move the TOC to the front of the book, then convert to mobi again. *sigh*...
