Buy or Repair

Hi,

Would anyone have advice for me. The screen on my pb360 was damaged (while it was in my pocket with the cover on - during an overnight bus ride).

A new pb306+ costs around $130. A new screen for my 360 will cost $75 (PB service center).

I've never had a problem with the 360 and use it almost every day.

Which option do you think is better?

It all depends, if the extra $60 for a new one doesnt sound that bad, I would go for it.

You would get a new warrenty on the device, have updated hardware etc.

If on the other hand, the extra $60 price difference seems too much right now, just get the screen repaired and wait for the next generation to come round.

In either case, as im sure you know, you cannt go wrong because the PB360 is a fantastic device!

If you do decide on a new reader, maybe consider tring to sell the old one for parts or to someone that wants to have the screen redone?

That way both parties would win out, someone would get a deal (if the cost wasnt too high) after they fix the screen, and you would defray the cost of the new machine a little bit.
