I won't be getting one mainly because I've moved away from the iOS ecosystem. The combination of Google and Amazon ecosystems simply works better for me. My newly purchased Kindle Paperwhite covers my reading needs quite well and my other devices cover everything else.

Well, this is embarrassing. I just grabbed my grandson's Fire to see if the WritePad app had been updated to something more useful, and guess what? It didn't have the app. Evidently WritePad doesn't make an app for Kindle; or at least it isn't in the Kindle Store. What I bought for him was Smart Writing Tool - 7 Notes Premium. My apologies. It's the Smart Writing Tool - 7 Notes Premium app for the Kindle Fire that sucks, not WritePad. Still haven't tried that one on a Fire. Last edited by WT Sharpe; 02-14-2013 at 04:48 AM. Is there a way to give a post negative Karma?
This is an unforgivable error! (OK, 0 Karma then, because of the amount you got for funnyness ) |

A no vote. I'd rather eat a large bowl of my own excrement than buy an Apple product. Overpriced and limited.

A lot more "no"s than I expected. I'm generally of the same mind except I would love to get my hands on some of the games that are on iOS. I suspect that a lot of people on here aren't gamers and so don't feel that same pull.

As a side note, I never play any games on my idevices, but some of the iOS exclusive apps still keep me in their ecosystem. |

I do my gaming on bigger screens. Around here the primary driver for tablet buyers is going to be reading. And for reading the Mini falls short compared to other alternatives. I looked into it but, as atractive as the weight spec is, the rest of the package didn't add up. Not for reading, anyway. |
