Combined Audio and Text Ebook
Is there such thing as an ebook that combines text and audio? I imagine, for example, a language text book with clickable links that pronounce words relevant to the lesson. I've not come across any such thing for far.

Yes, both Amazon and Apple support "multimedia" eBooks which can combine text, audio, and video. The Amazon "Enhanced eBooks" are only playable at present on non-eInk Kindle platforms (eg the iPad).

Also, if you hit the Shift and Symbol keys at the same time on your Kindle it will start reading the screen text to you. In an android voice, but then for some manuscripts that might be perfect.
