How to merge Calibre databases?

Hello to all,
I have some boos in my Calibre library, my colleague has others.
He gave me his books. How can I add it to my library?

I assume that you have your friend's library, not the books.

Start calibre, open your friend's library (the drop down menu next to the calibre icon), select the books you want, and then right-click and choose 'copy to library'.

If you have autosort/automerge turned on in Preferences Import/Export/Adding for books with similar author/title, be aware that this applies to books being copied over to the destination library.
