Well, it's not raining as bad as predicted -- but it's still wet, chilly and overcast out there.

It was a chilly, dark, overcast day, but the sunset was nice! There was a break in the clouds just above the western horizon. Just enough for the sun to turn everything deep red for a few minutes.

Counting my lucky stars. No floods, fires, earthquakes in my neck of the woods. My thoughts are with those who lost their homes or missing loved ones.

I heard a cardinal yesterday, and today's paper says that's a sign of spring. But our weather lady says 15cm of snow on wednesday, and below zero C the rest of the week.

36°F, and pouring down rain and windy. A more concise term would be "miserable."
And of course I have to head out in the dark to drive across town for an early PT appointment. But it could be worse! I'm just glad it stayed above freezing... |

Chilly, breezy and overcast all day. We're anticipating drenching rains tonight and tomorrow morning.

Heavy wet snow, about 25-30cm. Just finished shovelling. Back hurts.

It continues. More shovelling.
*sigh* Last night I overheard Thing1 and Thing2 plotting to pelt me with snowballs when I pick them up from daycare. I informed them that I am aware of their heinous plot, and that any such assault would result in Daddy's "Imfamous Snow Wedgie". If their snowsuits make it too difficult to do it at the the time, well there's always icecubes in the freezer... Mostly, I am a tough but fair parent, but sometimes I'm all about the revenge. |

I was up in Raleigh with our students sitting for the NC Bar Exam on the 26th and 27th for this. What a way to welcome me back home for a few days, RTP. Though apparently the weather in Charlotte was just as miserable.

So, cold rain tomorrow ... and then a wintry mix on Wednesday ....
Memo to self: Cement over that groundhog den before next year ... |
