Darwin, Charles: The Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals. V1. 14 Oct 2012
I present a second of Darwin's 'great books': an Illustrated edition of his study of emotions and their expression. In which Darwin compares the expression of emotions in both humans and animals, viewing them as communicative signals that are themselves the product of evolution. The shared forms of expression seen across multiple species also speak to their relatedness through common descent.

Again, this is based on a Project Gutenberg source with all the normal enhancements.
