Kindle Paperwhite - Display books as a list (instead of covers)

On the new Paperwhite, is there a way to show the list of books as a regular list (like older kindles did) instead of showing all the book covers?

I prefer the simpler list view, and I can't find it in the settings.

Yes, on the Home screen press the Menu icon and select List View.

The Menu icon is is all the way on the right of the screen and looks like 3 horizontal lines.

I'd like the opposite... book covers on a K3.

New Paperwhite -- List View

How do I get a List View instead of a Tile (Cover) View on my new Kindle Paperwhite. The menu offers only the Tile View.

On the home screen, press the items filter icon (under the search icon). Aside from the options to filter your items, there you'll see the options 'Grid' and 'List' for display the books.

Many thanks! How simple once one has the information. I've spent a lot of time, both with Amazon and on the net, searching for this. Got all sorts of instructions, some very complicated; none of them worked. Nathanie Bohrman, Amazon needs you.
