Low-power, flexible display technology drives new products
Interesting read from the Boston Globe on E Ink technology and how it may influence the development of future technologies:

Don't give up Steve! You have a place in history to think about.

I'm not a fanboy and (come to think of it) have never owned any single Apple product, but I got a feeling that it will take a Steve jobs to change the world (again..), to change the publishing industry ... with an iPaper or something ...
Why, I saw the demo for iPhone and I was like ... each of the parts in it is nothing new really. But it just baffles me why and how only Stevie have the guts to put them all together in a package and believe it will sell. And how much must someone pay to have good IDs like Apple products do. There are some good ones from other companies. But some of those from HP and Dell just plain ... suc*s ... ... and I don't even own an Apple product ever while I've owned a Compaq Armada 500, M300, Evo6100, Dell Inspiron etc ... ok, the M300 is not too shabby while the Evo was pretty good for corporate use as well ... but none as slick as an Apple product. Let's hope Apple makes some iPaper thingie soon ... before the R&Ds close shop and their patent get bought over by some loser company. |

You've hit my fancy here Snappy! I'm waiting for that too.
Knowing Apple they'll pass and wait for colo(u)r. Much more dramatic in a presentation! |
