PRS-505 My 505 buttons are not working

Help, guys. I tried to replaced the battery in my 505 and I incidentially broke the little "cap" which is used to fix the data cable connecting the metal case and the main board. Then I have to use tape to fix it. I tried this but now several buttons in my 505 are not working!! Do anyone has a suggestion about it?
I am not considering to send it back to Sony since it's expensive...

sorry to hear from your problems.
Maybe this can help Broke keyboard ZIF latch
Or maybe you can use some piece of folded paper to add additional pressure/force to the taped down connector/cabel.

Well, now I don't feel so stupid and alone. I just went through the same execise and nicked the ribbon cable on reassembly. Some keys don't work. I am getting a new 650 today. I think I really wanted to do that anyway, but I had the battery from the old 505. It was down to half charge after 500 pages.

I think the 650 will make me feel better.
