The support said they won't change that behavior in the near future.

That will be the first and last device I bought from Kobo ...

I have no idea if that is on the list of things to add or not, but I am POSITIVE that support doesn't have any more clue than I do about whether it is on the list. CS barely knows what goes on with the current firmware, no way that future plans are shared with them.
