So you restricted the library to say 1000 books. The tag browser reflected the restriction and showed info for 1000 books. But things got slower?

FYI in regards to searches if you don't place a specific prefixed search such as authors:"=Isaac Asimov" or tags:"=Action", you might want to limit your searching by going to Preferences - Searching and limiting non-prefixed searches. I limit non-prefixed searches to the title, authors, tags, series, & publisher columns, removing comments from the non-prefixed search speeds up the search by a bunch.

Whoa... You learn something new everyday. Thanks. That made a *huge* difference in search speed.
