Just got a PM from happy_terd -- he's had some deaths in the family and generally things are uncool with him now - but he's OK - just got overwhelmed and shut down for a while. So he decided to resign from here until he gets things sorted out. He saw this thread but didn't feel up to trying to answer everyone - but appreciates your concern.

So - I extended an open invitation to return when he gets his s**t back together (pun intended) and rejoin our family here.
