Calibre and BeBook Neo?

Just got my BeBook Neo a few days ago and still struggling to get everything setup and running smoothly.

The issue I'm having with Calibre (using version 0.7.7) is that it doesn't recognize the BeBook Neo.
I've connected the USB cable to my PC (running Win7 64-bit Ultimate) and Windows perfectly recognizes the internal drives of the NEO. I can see the internal memory and the extra SD card. No problems. I can copy & paste, browse to/from it. So there is no issue in recognizing the Neo from my Windows machine.

BUT, sending it directly from Calibre doesn't work. "Cannot send: No device is connected"
What I have noticed is, that there is no specific device interface plugin for the Neo in the preference list of Calibre. Anyone knows if this is available and/or which device is compatible with it?

-I've tried both the original (latest) firmware from this site and the latest 1.4 firmware from Onyx itself (which is BTW much more advanced regarding WiFi connections)

-Yes, I can use the 'Save to disk' option from Calibre and then select the drive letter for the internal/SD memory card of the Neo to copy data to the Neo. But when copying a ePub file, it automatically also creates a subdirectory called 'calibre', with again subdirs with the names of the files and saves 3 files (.epub, .jpg, .opf) and I only need the .epub file.

Anyone with tips & trics? (yes, I've search this forum, but didn't find any solution yet). Thanks.

Some additional info about 'Debug device detection' in Calibre:
It says Getting debug information... and that's it. It just stops working. And after a few minutes I have cancel this task from the Windows task manager, because it stops responding.

Only when my BeBook NEO isn't connected to my PC, I can run 'Debug device detection'.
