How a page looks in Kindle Paper White
Before I buy a KPW I want to know how the files I'm gonna read look like. Today I found this .mobi version of the book. Can someone please show me how a couple of pages of the attached book looks like in KPW (landscape mode too if possible). It would be great if the pages contained some equations too.

I've synced the book to my Kindle Paperwhite and have made a couple of screenshots. Of course it would've looked much better if it were well formatted.

Most books from Internet Archive have been converted automatically so equations rarely would work. If you have to read these books, you'd better try PDF. These are two tools to bring PDFs into smaller screens:

seems mathematical symbols are not recognized in the conversion process. isn't one of the the aims of epub3 to include support for math symbols? even so, if the mobi format isn't updated to support it, you'll never see it in a mobi file. i heard that the kf8 format is closer to epub in that it supports css. since the kindle paperwhite supports kf8 in the form of an azw3 file, there may be hope for the kindle to display non-standard characters.

It seems PW is off my list then. It would be useless without the equations . . . Anyway thanks a lot for the help

Like Vroo said, PDF works better for such books and tablets are recommended for PDFs not eink readers.
