Grey, not black, font colour in eBook: how to fix?

I am reading 'Anathem' by Neil Stephenson. I bought the DRMed PDF from booksonboard.com .

Everything is fine apart from the fact that the text in the PDF is not exactly black but lighter (if you are curious, it is #272425, if you know HTML's notation).

My PRS-505 is not smart enough to understand that it is not useful to use a light gray to render that colour, so now I need to read the book with a less than optimal screen contrast!

Any advice on how to fix this? Thank you in advance,

Unfortunately it will most likely be displaying whatever colour the font is in the PDF. And as it's PDF, you can't change it :-(

But it couldn't hurt to send a polite email to BoB reporting the error. They might get the publisher to correct it.
