ebook-convert not found on headleass Ubuntu
Hi there,
I've installed calibre on my headless (?) Ubuntu Server. When I type sudo apt-get install calibre on my machine at home (with X-Server), everything is fine and I can use ebook-convert. But when I do the same on my Server (without X-Server, but with xvfb), calibre is beeing installed, but ebook-convert is not beeing found. What can I do? Any hints appreciated. Thanks, Tom |

My system at home (ebook-convert runs) is 11.04, the server's ist 9.04. Could that be the problem?

You need to install all the dependencies as stated in that webpage before executing the install command.
BTW, are you using Ubuntu in the machine that you reports installation error? Also, are you sure you get no error message when you install Calibre using apt-get on that machine? If yes, the problem may be that the ebook-convert program is not put into the search path for binary programs. You may first look for the "ebook-convert" program (see here for details). Then call the program using its absolute path. |

Thanks a lot.
I've found the ebook-convert binary-file in /opt/calibre. But when I run this programm (with and without xvfb-run), I get the same error, for which I can't find any solution on the internet Traceback (most recent call last): File "site.py", line 55, in main File "site.py", line 41, in set_qt_plugin_path |

It sounds like you miss some stuff related to "qt".
Perhaps you can try installing some packages related to "qt" and see. Quote:
