Good news: kill your iLiad and revive it yourself - soon!
This is from a iRex employeer...
As long as you don't brick your beloved iLiad too well, there is going to be a restore option that we can activate outselves. Alas, this option isn't in place yet. Once it is though, there is nothing that keeps us from digging further and installing our own rootkits
