Another fine-tuning for the BeBook (Hanlin V3) firmware.

This one is decribed as:

Quote:
Latest Improvements:
* Finetuned anti-aliasing for the Mobipocket ebooks.
* Improved .txt .doc and .pdf parsers. All special characters will be displayed correctly.
This update was released on 5th of december 2008
Maybe this fixes the missing italics issue in PDFs?

They haven't learned how to name their updates yet: this one is still called "newupdate.rar".

Great, but I would really, REALLY like to see some significant changes to the MobiPocket support, finetuning anti-aliasing is probably ok. But as long as they do NOT support changing fonts, adjusting linespacing, determine what kind of justification you want and dictionary lookups. *shrug*

The MobiPocket Java Reader is very basic, but some of your requirements are supported on some devices using this software (dictionary and justification), font support seems to be a Java issue (because the Pepper Pad 3 allows font selection using the Java-reader, but all the EInk devices don't and they are probably running striped down Java variants), finally no version of the Java-reader (so far as I know) supports adjusting linespacing and they all seem to have too-wide spacing and too-large margins.
