Night Shade Books inks deal with Webscriptions

According to the site SFScope.com, Night Shade Books - a leading indie publisher of science fiction and fantasy - have signed an agreement with Baen to sell non-DRM e-editions of their books through Baen's Webscriptions online storefront:

Quote:
"Night Shade Books is the latest small press publisher to sign a distribution agreement with Baen Books's electronic publishing site, webscription.net. Starting today, Night Shade titles will be available both individually and as part of a separate Night Shade Books program on the site.

Baen's Director of E-Books James Minz said "In little over a decade, Night Shade Books has become one of the top independent genre publishers. Their stated mission is to 'find the right reader for the right book,' and we're excited to help expand their mission into the electronic books market.""
I'm very excited by this, because there are several books from Night Shade I've been wanting to get for a while, not least Walter Jon Williams' 'Implied Spaces' and UK sf & fantasy writer Liz Williams' 'Inspector Chen' novels.

These are DRM-free multi-format (as always), $6 each, all seven for $28 or three Inspector Chen novels for $12. Baen really does ebooks right, see http://www.webscription.net/m-8-night-shade-books.aspx.

Great news. Every new ebooks is good news to me.

From that bunch, the Inspector Chen is the only one that grabbed my attention. Anyone read those? How are they?

I've met the Nightshade Books folks, know Liz, and love the Inspector Chen novels.

This is very good news.
