Why doesn't the k3 web browser default to mobile versions of sites?
Does anyone else think this is weird? Aren't web pages a lot easier to view on the Kindle when they're in mobile format? Not only this, but even the default bookmarks that come on the k3 are linked to full sites instead of mobile versions, I.e. www.google.com instead of m.google.com. The Amazon.com webpage, which is also bookmarked by default, is much easier to read on the Kindle when in mobile formatting.
Do you think maybe it's because websites don't yet recognize the browser ID of the K3 as a mobile platform? |

I think it's because it has a 6" screen, which is much bigger than most phones, which are usually 2.5-4.2".
I have no problem viewing full pages, except maybe Gmail which is a bit slow. But aside from that I personally prefer the full pages. |
