Customize series_index value
Hi,
I just setup COPS application on my NAS to manage my calibre library and there is some display that i would like to improve. A collection in Calibre is like that: - XXX [1] ... - XXX [9] ... - XXX [10] Except that COPS (and others programs i tried before) output collections like: - XXX [1] - XXX [10] - XXX [2] Is it possible to set series_index metadata into Calibre and metadata.opf files with 3 digit numbers ? in order to have a good sorting ? Thanks' luoman. |

When you do a save to disk you can configure your index number with padding (extra 0's) to solve the problem.

Thank you
but you cannot edit metadata like that, only files/folders's name It doesn't change anything in the metadata.db and metadata.opf |

Calibre will not format the series indices in the opf or in the db. They are stored as numbers, not text. It is up the the client, in this case COPS, to format the numbers when converting them to text.
