EPUB to MOBI conversion; problem with particular characters
In my original EPUB file, instead of typical quotation marks I had << and >> surrounding quotes. I used Sigil to replace those with standard quote marks. So far so good - looks as expected in Sigil, Calibre and my PRS-1.
However, when converting the edited EPUB file to MOBI, the quote marks does not come through and the MOBI files reverts to << and >>. What am I missing? Is this codepage related? If so, perhaps it's worth noting the file I'm converting is in the Swedish language and the conversion deals with Swedish special characters (i.e. å ä and ö) without any problem. |

Delete the original_epub format from the book record in calibre.
