I'm working on a app for windows 10 PC, tablet and windows phone.

I'd like to know how many people can be interested in it?

Goodreads already has an official app. How would yours differ and how would you get the api permissions needed to essentially compete with them?

I did not see an official app in the Windows app store. Are you sure there is an official one? The apps I did see are third party and have low ratings.

They may not have one in the Windows store but an official Goodreads app does exist for IOS and Android. Goodreads are owned by Amazon so I'd be careful about stepping on their toes.
