Convert My iPad eBook to Nook

I have just published an eBook on Amazon that I assume is available for both the iPad and Kindle Fire. This is my first effort, and I probably did everything wrong. I bought a copy for myself and have it on my iPad.

I have calibre installed and see how it can convert from one format to another. But frankly, I can't get past the import step.

Is it possible to do what I want to? Any help doing this with calibre is geatly appreciated.

TIA

Don

Realistically, no it isn't possible. There's no (official) way to "export" files from your iPad.

But you don't need to. You (presumably) have the Mobipocket version of your book that you created with Kindlegen, don't you? Import that into Calibre, and convert it to ePub.

Harry,

Thanks for the reply. To be honest, I have no idea what what you are talking about, at least I don't know what Kindlegen is.

My eBook started as a PDF 8-1/2x11 document that I had prepared using Word. To get it reformatted (kind of) for the iPad/Kindle I followed the instructions online and saved the document in Word in .mht format. I uploaded that file.

A far I know, I don't have a locally stored mobipocket version. Does this make sense?
