Ha, i like how Kindle has already modified their battery life numbers to 2 months too, based on the formula the new nook was using.

I guess it makes sense that the 3G model is coming down in price since the Wi-Fi with ads model is lower that the regular Wi-Fi price was. It would be nice if they did reach the point where the Kindle was either free or almost free sometime in the future. I don't know how quickly that will happen though.

That's a lot of money for "free" 3G. I don't know if $45 bucks would be worth it to me.

I saw this as I was looking at the KSO with wifi....guess it jut came up today? I don't think the "free" 3g is worth that much more money to me, though. Still, interesting to see that this one is discounted too.

I agree. One of the reasons I went with the Wi-Fi (other than the price of course) was that there is no 3G coverage that I could find in my area and I don't travel so it wouldn't have been of much use for me to get the 3G version.
