Kindle DX Hardware Reset
Hi,
there is a hardware reset button under the grey brezel. If you dismount the grey brezel and the white plastic and put them togther bottom up, it's easy to drill a hole at the right position. Afterwards you have a easy to reach reset button from outside - in case of things going wrong... |

If I've modified some system files, will this button restore them to the original version?

Hi,
the hardware reset might not help you in this situation. It's more like takeing the battery out and in again. Maybe a Reset to Factory Defaults can help you out or manually redo a firmwareupdate, it strongly depends on what files you altered. |
