Long eBooks?

Does anyone know of any good mystery/crime novels that are really long. Been going through book after book at the moment and would love to really get immersed into something.

Welcome to MobileRead.

I think that you would have much better results if you asked on the E-book General > Reading Recommendations thread or, possibly, the E-book General > Discussion thread. Besides, I think that it might be off topic here in this forum.

Either instead of or in addition to looking for lengthy ebooks, how about reading series? Some good places to search for (and keep up with) book series are:

www.authoralerts.com,
www.fantasticfiction.com,
http://www.fictfact.com/,
www.fictiondb.com,
https://www.goodreads.com/list/tag/series,

I like Nordic crime, especially the Swedish writers. I haven't read anything huge but I think the longest so far were Stieg Larsson's Millenium trilogy and Leif G. W. Persson's Story of a Crime trilogy which were around about 600 pages per book. I really got absorbed in Persson's story.

I need a definition of long.
300 pages? 1000 pages?
I agree with the series suggestions.
Might I recommend the Jack Daniels series by JA Konrath. He also has a kindle world.
Russell Blake's Black Series.
Jude Hardin and his Colt Series.
Nearly all the writers in JA Konrath's kindle world.

If you're one of the few who haven't read it already, Stephen King's "11-22-63" is a long (over 800 pages) but very fast moving book in the History/Mystery genre.

The "Millennium Trilogy" has been turned into a quartet with the addition of "The Girl in the Spider's Web" written by David Lagercrantz. I haven't read it yet and wonder how Lisbeth will fare with a different author.

Great North Road by Peter F. Hamilton is 1107 page in paperback. I've read this and found it quite good.

Quote:
When attending a Newcastle murder scene, Detective Sidney Hurst finds a dead North family clone. Yet none have been reported missing. And in 2122, twenty years ago, a North clone billionaire was horrifically murdered in the same manner on the tropical planet of St Libra. So, if the murderer is still at large, was Angela Tramelo wrongly convicted? She never wavered under interrogation, claiming she alone survived an alien attack.

Investigating this potential alien threat now becomes the Human Defence Agency's top priority. St Libran bio-fuel is the lifeblood of Earth's economy and must be secured. A vast expedition is mounted via the Newcastle gateway, and experts are dispatched to the planet - with Angela Tramelo, grudgingly released from prison. But the expedition is cut off deep within St Libra's rainforests, and the murders begin. Angela insists it's the alien, but her new colleagues aren't sure. Did she see an alien, or does she have other reasons for being on St Libra?

Umberto Eco: The Name of the Rose. A historical mystery. It's a long time since I read it, so I don't remember how prominent the murder mystery was in the book. There was also quite a lot philosophical debate, I recall.

The The Crow Girl by Erik Axl Sund is about 750 pages, although it has very short chapters which probably inflates the page count a little. (The original was published as three separate books, combined into one for the English translation.)
