Calibre not detecting Kindle

Hello,

With the recent update (0.6.29), Calibre has stopped detecting my Kindle (v2). I cannot access it through Calibre, nor can I add e-books to it. I haven't figured out how to fix it (tried reinstalling Calibre, restarting my computer, unplugging and replugging my Kindle and switching USB ports). My computer and other programs can read it. I would appreciate any input I can get, I love the ease of use of Calibre. Thanks!!!

Have you tried resetting the Kindle? Holding the wake button for about 15 secs?

Are you on windows? Mac? Linux?

You have a problem with the WMI installation on your computer (your computer isn;t reporting device information to calibre). Unfortunately, the only fix I know for this is a windows re-install
