Reader comments on Amazon indicate that 11:59 is not a complete, finished book, but an excerpt which leaves the reader hanging. I think I'll wait, in that case. I hate to be left dangling!

Get Published ($9.99 US), by Infinite Ideas, is free for UK Kindle customers, either in the US or the UK store (for now). This appears to be a self-published title, but I don't see it at Smashwords.

And some blogs are read by tens of thousands of people daily, many more than might pick up a physical book by the same author. Then there's self-publishing, vanity publishing, print on demand and so on. But how do you find your way round this minefield? Nothing beats free like the library! But many libraries (including one of the larges sytems -- the Toronto Public Library) don't support Kindle for their e-books. Pity!
