Getting access to Linux

I've looked all over the place and while I see lots of cool hacks.

I can't find anyplace on how to get access to The Kindle 2's Linux.

I'd love to play around with this and try some ideas but I can't seem to get to the shell to do anything.

Can someone point me to the thread that discusses this?

Thanks,

Don

You should be able to find the information you need by wading through the rather lengthy thread entitled "Restore KindleDX USB networking". You'll find a link to an updater that gives you the ability to telnet or ssh into the Kindle. I haven't tried this myself, though.

Thanks. I did find that. Of course now I can't telnet to it **or** use the disk option )

I'll ask about that on that thread though.
