In truth, it would be funny, except that this caveat over proper orientation was *NOT* in the documentation at the time.

Hmmm - I stand corrected. I thought I remembered seeing a picture of the correct card orientation in the user guide or on the "Getting Started" sheet in the box, but there isn't one. That's definitely an oversight on Bookeen's part - although it's obvious to the more experienced user which way the card goes in, I can well imagine someone who's never seen an SD card before trying to force it in the wrong way.

There is a small image on the cybook itself that shows the SD card facing the right way, but it's a bit ambiguous for a noobi. I had a hard time getting the SD card to 'click', 'cause you have to push it that extra little bit with your fingernail and I was worried about breaking it.

Especially as most devices orient the SD card with the other side forward.
