K3 Errors [wish my paperwhite was here!]
Keep getting these types of errors. Sometimes with dictionaries, sometimes books. Today it was on page turn. Just hit the next page button, screen went white, progress indicator spun a bit, then back home with this error. Many loads and it continued to say the same thing. After reboot all is well.
Any idea what's up? I fear file system corruption. Hopefully it makes it another week! [and maybe longer given the paperwhite problems people are reporting!!] |

I can't say why this happened (database corruption, accidental reset, ... ??), but your K3 seems to no longer be "registered" to the Kindle account from which the books were purchased and the books' DRM is preventing them from being read. Simply re-registering the K3 should heal the problem.

Agreed. Back up the documents folder and do a factory reset. Something got corrupted.

Maybe the indexing is stuck. I remember having had the problem. Book was stuck in indexing. Deleted it and loaded it again. That worked.

Do you have the latest update (version 3.4) on your Kindle Keyboard? Earlier versions couldn't read KF8 files, so that's why I'm asking.

Yes, but the problem existed before the update.

Haven't gotten to it yet... have the screensaver hack installed, so I can't do a factory reset without uninstalling that... too busy at the moment. :-)
[yeah, I know... my other posts give away that I'm too busy here. ] |

If you can't reset yet an fsck (linux) or chkdsk (windoze) of the Kindle's filesystem might be worthwhile. If linux, remember to umount the fs before fsck'ing it.
