"Pelham oder Abenteuer eines Gentleman" ist nach "Falkland" (1827) der zweite Roman von Edward Bulwer-Lytton; er erschien 1828.

Dem eBook liegt die Übersetzung von Gustav Pfizer zu Grunde (1840, EA 1836). Die betreffenden GoogleBooks-Fraktur-Scans wurden in Ermangelung eines GoogleBooks-OCRs mit Hilfe eines trainierten FineReader OCRt und korrekturgelesen.
Wegen einer Handvoll Altgriechisch-Passagen war die Einbettung einer Schrift nötig (GalSIL Regular).
Das Bild des Buchdeckels ist das Frontispiz der Übersetzung von 1840.
