CSS validation error

Using the CSS validation tool in Sigil 0.6.2, Calibre-generated page-styles.css doesn't pass validation.
I was perplexed until the helpful folks on Calibre forum explained to me that epub2 & epub3 do not support CSS3 but CSS2&CSS2.1 respectively.
So, as Sigil is the program for editing epub, it would be logical for it to send the ,css files to CSS2 & CSS2.1 validators and not to CSS3 as it does now.
Just a suggestion…

Note that valid CSS3 files are probably valid CSS2 too. Even if you use properties not included in CSS2, that doesn't make the file invalid, but systems that only support CSS2 won't support CSS3 properties...

And then again, the ePub spec does not support all CSS2 properties either.

Next version will use the CSS 2.1 profile. So anyone using any CSS 3 type features will get an error.

Perhaps there could be a Sigil user preference to select which validator to use?
