I don't think that there are any utilities that convert from the iSilo format. At least none that I have found.

Text converters

Try going to processtext.com. They have all types of text and image converters. There is a palm converter that is free of charge. I bought a few of the other text converters and very satisfied with these programs.

I think that's PalmDoc, isn't it, rather than iSilo?

Hi Harry,

Many documents converted to PDB using the program Isilo.

Does cybook read PDB originating in Isilo?

Not yet received my Cybook to complete the test.

Anybody could do the test? I will be eternally grateful. Aquivo below.

The Gen3 will read PalmDoc files, but not iSilo ones. Unfortunately I've never come across an iSilo converter; it seems to be strictly a "terminal" format - ie one which one can convert to, but not from.

A technique that I've found effective is to pull up the iSilo document in iSilo for Windows, print the whole file to PDF, and then drag the PDF into Mobipocket Reader. Perhaps not the cheapest solution, and you'll lose hyperlinks, but all other formatting is retained.

For PDB text (iSilo) do the following:

PDB> Bullzip PDF Printer> PDF> Mobipocket Creator> PRC.

But PDB text / images (iSilo) when converted to PDF Printer, the images are departures / broken.

The problem happens with very large images, in the case of magazines.

It's probably listing it as an eBook on the basis of its "PDB" file extension (assuming it to be a PalmDoc book, which it does support), then discovering it's not when it opens the file.

You can use iSilo for Windows to 'Save As' text & do a conversion from that I suppose.

Hi Brian

I have the license of use to iSilo (Windows and Palm). The iSilo for Windows 'Save As' text, saved only Texts (images not), my problem is PDB's with images.
