Hacks Kindle 2 International with Special Offers

I've been reading about hacks for changing the screensavers, but my Kindle does not even have normal "screensavers". I purchased the version that has special offers. As a result, my screensavers are ads and it is really annoying.

Is there any way to get around this and put something on there I don't actually mind looking at?

Just checked my Kindle Account. It says I have a Kindle 3. Sorry about that.

I contacted Amazon to see if the Special Offers could be turned off after a period of time, but they said they cannot.
