ePub format launches at Fictionwise: 50% off all MultiFormat titles!
Fictionwise has started to include the ePub format for its multiformat (unencrypted) titles.

That trumps the 30% discount they were offering me for some titles in my wish list. Yay! Excuse to buy new books!

*edit*
Most of the books I want at FW are in Secure Mobi or eReader (which I don't want to convert), and not likely to become available in multi-format any time soon, so this is no big deal for me. Although, the more ePub suppliers the better. Last edited by Wetdogeared; 04-28-2009 at 08:16 PM. |

I just checked out an ePub version of a short story that I already bought, it is much nicer than the Mobi version.
Thumbs up to Fictionwise. |

Well, this allowed me to buy all of Harlan Ellison's stuff for $130.00, $5.00 per ebook, so that's quite reasonable.

Yeah, it's nice to see. Fictionwise have been using calibre for a long time though, they used it to introduce the LRF version of their multi-format books as well.

That's interesting, and encouraging. I had to do a lot of finicky formatting on some of my forthcoming titles. I had to do it in RTF, because that's what they take from ereads and the author, but I used Calibre to test and see if what I was doing might survive the formatting. Now my hopes may be justified!

How can Fictionwise stay in business? Multiple formats of ebooks? I thought that Ebook production costs were similar to pbooks? [/Sarcasm] |
