Auto complete while typing messages?

Hi,

I have used android before and usually the dictionary is quite good at suggesting words when you type...

However, it seems like the edge is either missing the dictionary or something is not setup correctly because it can only match a few words (like 'I' and 'Android')...

Any thoughts?

Hi,

Has anyone got any ideas of why this is/isn't working?

Apparently it's either a bug or an unimplemented feature. My understanding is that enTourage is aware of this.

I found that the only auto-complete word it recognized was Android, so I just shut it off for now because it kept changing "and" into "Android."

I haven't run into that yet, for some reason. Too funny. I don't like auto-complete. I find it really annoying when my computer is trying to figure out what I'm thinking. I'm probably dating myself, here. Or maybe it's just another control issue.

I love the spellcheck I have in Firefox! Wish I could get it in Dolphin and the rest of the eDGe, it's clunky to go back and forth between the dictionary and whatever application you're using. So, being fundamentally lazy, I don't ;-)

Ya,

Regular android phones have an amazing auto-complete which really speeds things up.
hopefully this gets fixed soon.

Good news! The upcoming major update includes "Keyboard predictive text dictionary", which I believe addresses this.

I recently installed Thick Keys which works well and includes good predictive support right now (see http://www.entourageedge.com/forums/...ull=1#post2587 for some installation tips).

I really like the predictive support in ThickKeys. I hope that the update includes something at least as good.

Yes, good news.
It now works.
They managed to get the proper support in the latest patch! (not sure why it wasn't there to start...but whatever.)
