Installation issue has been resolved.

Hello everyone to has responded and assisted with this issue. Thank you all for your input, suggestions and tips. I finally had the chance (after careful planning and preparation) to complete the "in-place" Windows 7 Ultimate Upgrade installation. I used A Win 7 Ultimate USB stick to do the Upgrade install and everything was fixed. Calibre installation went off without a hitch, and I am sure I will no longer have any issues with any other .msi installations.
