Websites for Sony Ebook Purchases
Okay, not really asking for a discussion. I'm just looking for websites which I could purchase new titles which are currently in BBEB format for the Sony PRS-505 or could be easily formatted to be readable.
I've obviously used the Sony Ebook store and have heard of baen.com but I was hoping for even more titles. I know Project Gutenberg quite well but was hoping for newer titles. If you know of any good websites then please list all you know with maybe a short write-up. I'm sure some other Sony users would appreciate. I realize similar topics have been done before but they usually turn into strange off topic arguments... Could we try to avoid that please? Cheers! |

You've pretty well covered the majority of the answers you might get. I'd add that Fictionwise.com's "multi-format" downloads are in the process of being reworked to include LRF format. Also, pretty much any place that sells Microsoft Reader (.LIT) format is an option if you don't mind using ConvertLit on the files, followed by one of the apps that will make LRF files from a LIT file. |

"in the process"? I think they finished the conversions quite a while ago...

Did they? I'd heard someone comment (relatively) recently that they were still seeing titles that weren't converted. 'Course I'd be most pleased to be wrong on the point. leased"

There still don't seem to be all that many publishers offering multiformat at Fictionwise. Anyone know why?

It sounds like your a little frustrated with how our minds wonder don't tangential paths. Sorry about that. I wish I could point you in some direction, but I buy mine and convert to the format I need. Good Luck. Happy Reading! |
