Golden Age Stories Offering Free eBook and Audio Book Downloads [L. Ron Hubbard]

Book publisher Galaxy Press is offering free downloads of eBooks and audio books of pulp fiction stories from its collection Stories from the Golden Age, including genres such as science fiction, adventure, mystery, fantasy, western, and romance, at its newly updated site, www.goldenagestories.com

LOS ANGELES, March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Book publishing company Galaxy Press is offering free downloads of any of several eBooks and audio books on its newly updated website, The free eBook and audio book downloads are part of an ongoing effort to educate general readers on pulp fiction—stories written in the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s.

In making the announcement about the newly designed website, Galaxy Press president John Goodwin stated, "We wanted to provide a place people could go to find out about this golden age of storytelling and gain some understanding as to why Hollywood continues to pull from this period to create many of its top blockbusters."

In addition to downloading free eBooks and audio books of stories...visitors can listen to a new radio channel, Golden Age Radio. This online streaming allows visitors to the Golden Age Stories website to listen to Stories from the Golden Age at any time of the day for free.

Like other great pulp fiction writers that included names whose characters we have come to appreciate such as Edgar Rice Burroughs (Tarzan), Raymond Chandler (Philip Marlowe), Agatha Christie (Poirot and Miss Marple) and Dashiell Hammett (Sam Spade), L. Ron Hubbard rapidly became a mainstay of popular fiction in the 20th century. However, Hubbard was unlike most authors of the day, as his stories covered a wide spectrum of genres, including adventure, western, mystery, detective, fantasy, science fiction and even some romance, using his own and 15 pen names.

Question

You know what - I don't know. I posted the story before I went there and it seems to be mostly L. Ron Hubbard stuff. I typed Agatha Christie into the search and it said zero.

I think it's all L. Ron Hubbard. I'd guess it's a Scientology site.

It's all in the parsing of the sentence! If you re-read that carefully, you'll see where you made the mistake Looks like they were intentionally devious in their wording to get more hits.
