Preserve Kindle annotations, view in Calibre

Is there any way to get the highlights I make on a book on my kindle Touch to appear subsequently in Calibre?

These are books that were not purchased from Amazon, so Amazon's PC book viewer doesn't work. They were either converted from epub or downloaded elsewhere in mobi.

I've tried the fetch annotations and it doesn't work.

I'm willing to use any other ebook viewer if necessary. I just need to open up the document on my PC and see the annotations.
