LEDs don't flicker. If there is a flicker, it's not due to the lighting.

I have the Aura HD. I use it with the light always on, set at 30%, with no issues.

The Aura HD would be the best Kobo to use with a migraine as it has a higher resolution and larger screen which is best for increasing the font size. Trying to read a small font size with a migrane is not oing to work well at all.

Anything with an LCD screen is not a good idea for a migraine sufferer as the light from the LCD could be a bother.

I have a Kobo Glo, which I can use fine when I have a migraine. The only problem is when I try to read in the dark. Even at 1% it's way too bright. Installed the nightmode hack, which helps a lot, though a little less brightness would still be nice
Even so, I am wondering if it would be worth updating to the aura, because I read the light can go a lot less bright. Can't decide if I want to dash out €100 for it though, as my Glo is okay with the nightmode. |
