Kindle 2 - Firmware 2.5.4 - usbNetwork

HI,
i have a kindle 2 device with firmware 2.5.4. I’ve gone through most of the threads to run internet through USB, but unfortunately all attempts are unsuccessful.
Can someone guide me step by step to get it configured.
There is no whispernet services offered in my country and i have Windows installed on my system. (XP, Vista and 7)

Thanks in advance.

I can't help with your specific problem, but what is the point of doing this? Can't you just copy your files to it over the USB connection?

But your Kindle would have connected to a computer by a USB cable to do that. Wouldn't it be better to use the browser on your computer?
