Delete V. Send to Trash

Is there a way to tweak Calibre so that "Remove books" deletes it/them, instead of sending the file(s) to a Trash directory ?
And is there a simple way to empty the trash ?
(Calibre 0.9.38 under Linux)

I think this is there to give you one last chance

Ubuntu has a trashcan: 'Empty Trash' is a right-click option
