Today, April 23rd, is the International Day of the Book
Since 1995, the UNESCO celebrates every 23 April the World Book and Copyright Day.
This day commemorates the anniversary of the deaths of both Shakespeare and Cervantes, who, as you should already know by now, died on the same day, of the same year, but 10 days apart. It is also Saint George's day, if you want to do something special about that. Most importantly, it's a day to celebrate books, authors, and reading; a day to enjoy the books you have, to get new ones, to gift books to friends, to encourage reading in children... You have some time to decide what you will do tomorrow Last edited by Jellby; 04-23-2011 at 05:41 AM. |

Celebrating copyright sounds more like a celebration of sales and money making thank culture. So I'll only retain "World book".

Yes, very weird to have a celebration on a legal issue like copyright. What's next, a party for habeas corpus? Litigation Day? Citizen Arrest Fair?

It's all good. Should we start a worldwide anti-copyright day?
