Saving Metadata?
I have spent a LOT of time editing the metadata of my ebook library.
My wife just got an ebook device and wants some of my books. I have tried moving some of the epub files from my computer to hers, but I find that when I load them into Calibre on her computer the changes that I have made to the metadata are not there. I've read through everything I could find in the Calibre user manual but I don't see anything at all about saving metadata. Any help would be appreciated. |

Quote:
1) Create (a) Library ( on a a portable drive) using the existing Libraries structure if you have custom columns. 2) Switch back to your Library 3) Select Books to Copy, Right-click: Copy to Library (the portable one ) 4) When done, unmount the drive and sneaker over to her machine 2 choices: 1) Delete and Replace THE CONTENTS of her Calibre Library folder with the ENTIRE contents of the Folder on the portable drive. DO NOT merge the files this way. 2)attach the drive and switch Libraries to it. Now select all, Right-click: Copy to Library (hers). This is the safe way to merge 2 libraries |
