New to PRS-505 hack - Improved PDF support
Hello,
I'm quite new to PRS-505 (only have one for 2 weeks), and I'm already looking at how to hack it. It seems, from what I have seen, that it is possible to run shell scripts from the SDCard. As far as this is possible, I think it should be possible to run any compiled program. What would make this impossible ? If this is ok, then, it could be good to try to write or port a PDF reader with more zoom options to the PRS-505. Thanks to let me know the current limitations to do this. |

It's not impossible, just that there's not enough info to do so. See the OpenInkpot forum for details, but it's pretty much the same jump as from editing a Windows batch file to writing your own Adobe Reader replacement application!
