NEW FIRMWARE 1.1.00.18040 OLD HACKS

Please do not install any hacks for the 505 unless you know 100% that it has been certified foe use on firmware 1.1.00.18040. The old hacks do cause problems. One user has certified that the delete eBook feature doesn't seem to exist after the old hack(s) are installed on the new firmware.

Please wait for new hacks for the new firmware. Thank you!

I have the same problem -- had the old hack installed, then upgraded the firmware. No delete option either. How to do a clean upgrade of the new firmware?

I had the old hackthen i flashed with the official sony update then did the new flash from igorsk.
If you have problems you can just flash using the official sony updater (if it has problems look around on the forums for a way to change the version number) then reflash.

It seems I did the same thing as you, but it didn't quite work. I had the old hack, then I updated the firmware to 1.1.00.18040 with the official Sony updater, then flashed a new image from here,
then flashed another version from this thread. At no point I had the book delete option, and the unified fonts disappeared after I upgraded to 1.1.00.18040.
How to do a clean install of one of these packages (with unified fonts, clock, shutdown on enter, cyrillic)?
Any advice would be very much appreciated! Thanks in advance.
